The song that describes Alexander Hamilton's tragic flaw is "Burn" for many reasons. Although he does not speak in this scene, it is his wife talking about all of the torment he put her through. She explains how much she valued their relationship and how hurt she is from all that he as done. Hamilton's tragic flaw comes out when she discusses how he let another women in their bed, "You told the world how you brought This girl into our bed." This quote proves that he had an affair and it tells the audience of the mistake he made. She continually says that she wants him to burn as a result of her pain from his actions. He falls from grace when it is revealed that he was unfaithful, loyalty is extremely important in a tragic hero.
Many poetic techniques are present in this song but one that stood out on multiple occasions was anaphoras. Anaphoras were used four separate times throughout this scene. The anaphora that had the  largest impact on the song was when Eliza describes what Hamilton did for her, before he was unfaithful, "You built me palaces out of paragraphs, You built cathedrals." These lines represent the past but the following anaphora represents their present relationship, "You published the letters she wrote you. You told the whole world how you brought This girl into our bed."
The tone of this song is sad and pitiful, it causes the audience to feel sorry for Eliza. Her husband cheated on her and told the whole world, creating his downfall and sympathy towards her. This song made me feel sorrowful due to the negative message it gives off. When she expresses that she wants him to burn it made me feel her pain, that line truly showed how hurt she is due to his actions and how much she thought he loved her. What caught my attention was how much she loved him, I expected her to handle it better since she knew of her sisters relationship with him.
